Calls
Phone control: the handset as a device bots can use
Let agents text and call from your number, read OTPs, open apps and drive the phone, each capability a switch, each risky action waiting for your tap.
Under Account → Phone control, switch on Let agents use this phone. Android asks for each permission; the card then lists what was granted: send texts, place calls, hang up, read texts, read call history, look up contacts, listen (microphone), speak aloud, open apps, speaker and volume, battery and status, notifications. Agents only ever see what you granted. Re-check permissions asks again for anything you skipped.
Texts and calls go out from your number. In Agent mode each one waits for your tap; in Autonomous mode they just happen. Opening apps while Pocket is in the background needs Android's *Display over other apps*; the card offers the setting.
Pocket as the phone app
Make Pocket the phone app (the card asks Android, or opens Default apps if Android has stopped asking) and agents can answer, hold a caller, dial someone else, merge everyone into a conference, swap lines, send keypad digits and mute. Urgent callers are numbers you name that break through even when a bot is handling the line. The call screen shows the live call with the bot's notes; a tap on the call notification opens it.
Always on
Pocket keeps a status notification that cannot be swiped away while agents may use the phone. It lists live calls, running agents, reviews waiting and results, each with an action. Ask Android to leave the app unrestricted on battery so the service survives the night.
Root mode
On a rooted phone Pocket installs a helper that hears and speaks on calls with no adapter, so the bot answers and places calls on the SIM the same way Pocket Link does, and the phone can take messages as a voicemail box. Account → Voice → Own SIM shows the state: rooted or not, and once rooted, *flash the Pocket call-audio module in Magisk and reboot*. Rooting is your own decision and not something we can support on every phone.
Your WhatsApp on this phone
Bot on my WhatsApp lets a bot answer chats on this phone's own WhatsApp or WhatsApp Business app: no Business API number needed. Pocket reads the notification and replies through it, and taps Send for photos and files. Keep Pocket running in the background; it only answers chats that raise a notification, and Answer in groups too is a separate switch. A reinstall of the app switches this accessibility service off; turn it on again afterwards.
