Bots
Automations
Run a bot on a schedule, a webhook, or an event on the phone.
An automation pairs a trigger with an action. Triggers: a schedule in your time zone, a webhook URL, or a phone event such as a missed call or an incoming SMS. Actions: run a bot with a prompt, send a WhatsApp or email, or place a call. Open Automations from the side menu, or just ask a bot: *"every weekday at 6 pm, remind the counsellors to log today's calls"*, *"retry the call in 5 minutes if unanswered"*.
- Recurring routines use presets (every 15 minutes, hourly, daily at 8 or 18, weekdays at 9, Monday at 9, Friday at 17, monthly on the 1st) or a cron line; at most every 5 minutes.
- One-time routines fire once at a time or after a delay and then disable themselves. Follow-ups booked on a call are these.
- Webhooks give an automation a URL; anything that can POST (a form, your website, a payment provider) wakes the bot with the payload.
- Each automation shows when it next runs and what it did last time. Machines asleep for auto-suspend are woken by automations that need them.
- Alerts are automations on a number: *"tell me when failed orders go above 10"* runs the SQL on a schedule and pushes to your phone once when the line is crossed, and again only after it clears.
